Redring and Xpelair have been shortlisted in two categories for the Electrical Awards 2012 hosted by Electrical Times magazine.

The awards, which take place on the 25th October at the Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London, celebrate excellence in the electrical industry with nominated products being required to demonstrate significant levels of performance within their respective fields to be shortlisted.

Redring has been shortlisted in the Domestic/Residential Product of the Year category for its revolutionary Xpressions Eco-T shower, whilst Xpelair has been nominated for Commercial/Industrial Product of the Year for its market leading Classmate solution.

The Eco-T offers a unique showering solution to help save both energy and water thanks to an innovative timer button. Available in a variety of finishes, including limited edition Gunshot Grey, Chrome or Black exterior, the Eco-T offers a stylish and ecofriendly showering solution.

The timer, which sets the shower to 6 minutes, allows users to accurately control the amount of time they spend showering, significantly reducing the amount of water and energy used when showering. It can be switched on at any stage and a blue LED flashes to indicate imminent shut down after 5.5 minutes. The timer can be overridden to allow the user additional showering time.

The Classmate system by Xpelair is specifically designed to deal with the high ventilation requirements of schools where ventilation is key to the health, wellbeing and concentration levels of pupils, staff and visitors.

The system has modulating controls that can be used to allow it to run passively, which is its most efficient setting and utilises the natural airflow of a building. If sufficient ventilation cannot be generated then mechanical ventilation can be introduced to create a mixed mode system that is also highly efficient.
